About Me
Hey! I'm Manu, a passionate frontend developer hailing from the beautiful region of Salamanca, Spain. By day, I'm immersed in crafting innovative software solutions at uXcale and studying a Web Engineering masters at the Technical University of Madrid. On my free time, I'm either tuning into the latest Formula One race, watching some streams on Twitch or travelling around the world!
The vision behind eurovision.place
Eurovision has been a part of my life since I was a child, and the unity it brings across borders has always fascinated me. This passion, combined with my love for technology and design, led me to create eurovision.place - a platform aimed at fellow Eurovision fans around the globe.
For some years, I wanted to address the gaps I saw in the existing Eurovision related platforms. Inspired by the creativity of amazing projects like Mr. Gerbear's sorter, my goal is to blend clean design, intuitive functionality and a personalized experience to make exploring Eurovision past and present entries as enjoyable as possible.
For now, you can sort the ESC 2024 songs based on your preferences, but my objective is to expand the platform to be a hub for all things Eurovision. A place to discover new and old favourites, to see how your taste compares with the community and to share our passion with friends.
Let's connect!
I'm always on the lookout for new ideas or feedback. You can reach me personally on X or check out my code on GitHub. Let's make eurovision.place not just a site, but the place where every Eurovision fan feels at home!
